Hi, I’m Luke!

I found CrossFit after retiring from NCAA Track & Field as a way to stay competitive and continue challenging myself. What started as a way to stay in shape has become much more than that. Today, CrossFit is where I can step away from the demands of working as a registered nurse, challenge myself, and spend time with an incredible community.

One of my favorite parts of coaching is helping people accomplish things they never thought they could do. I enjoy breaking down complex movements into simple, manageable steps so athletes can build confidence and make steady progress. Whether you’re working on your first squat, trying to master double unders, or chasing a muscle-up, I’m here to help you get there.

Before joining Ampersand, I competed in NCAA Division II Track & Field, beginning as a decathlete before specializing in the pole vault, javelin, and discus. I earned bachelor’s degrees in Biology, Exercise Science, and Nursing, and have coached strength and conditioning, track and field, and CrossFit.

I love sharing my passion for Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and movement with others, but more importantly, I love helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident. Whether you’re brand new to CrossFit or have been doing it for years, I’m excited to be part of your journey and help you reach your goals.
